I hate the swamps...
It's hard but not fun hard. It feels like mechanics are unfinished. Sometimes you drown, sometimes not, sometimes you kill the boss and drown later, sometimes boss wrecks you in few hits. Sometimes enemy will be curious and walk into a trap, sometimes not, sometimes enemy will alert every living thing on the map and sometimes not. You cannot plan your moves perfectly. You cannot hide after you are spotted even when invisible and teleporting to another bush. Sometimes you just miss or your cursor goes somewhere. You don't know what is happening because there is no info apart from journal. I was very optimistic about Dwarves when i saw trailer but I expected something different. This is not rpg, this is not tactic combat, this is not stealth game. This is everything at once but nothing works with intended precision. Personally I enjoyed stealth killing most. I felt like i have control. But Shadow does not have any decoy so i used fog and arrows to pull single targets away. No ability to move bodies and janky enemy sight visualization makes you play different way But it's hell to corrdinate those dwarves even with active pause. On agressive stance they run and drown, on defensive they stop attacking and on passive they don't even defend themselves in melee And those swamp jumper mobs - I'd burn all swamps wit h napalm to get rid of them xd Its so frustrating and feels unfair Dwarven suits on lowest level of energy prioritize flashlight over life support system... It's not a bad idea for a game. I liked multiple mechanics but they were not fleshed enough to be satisfying to play. I'm currently on a mission where i need to kill 8 trackers before they reach caravan.. I feel like this is impossible for me to push it further bc of 1shittyMap, 2 Enemy throw range, 3heal spot is away from combat, 4 dwarves run slow, 5 I fall of a map often
