Your command begins with a choice: pursue the game plot immediately or take on any number of random missions to gain experience and power for your squad. Whichever you choose, prepare for the unexpected – and tactical combat that’s utterly out of this world!
As SSI’s second entry in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Chaos Gate marries the lore of the 40,000 universe with the strategic depth of an SSI game and creates an engaging experience that further glorifies the Emperor and the Adeptus Astartes’ Legacy.
- Battle Chaos Space Marine forces and their daemonic allies across the galaxy in a Campaign of 15 linked scenarios or explore randomly generated missions to gain power for your Ultramarine troops.
- Create and customize a squad from a Space Marine contingent of 50 different soldiers, each with unique characteristics and capabilities - including Terminators, Assault Marines and Devastator Squads.
- Build custom missions with the extremely flexible Mission Editor.
- Command the vehicles of the Warhammer 40,000 universe: Predator tanks, Rhino APCs, Land Speeders and Dreadnoughts.

Good game
One of the first installments if the franchise. Got me started on it back in the day. With GOG got to having it and still entertaining. new generation are Graphics lovers and all, but that aside, it doesn't bother me and is a great experience.

Original XCOM meets WH40K and some
This game is absolutely fantastic. Strategy and tactics are top notch, customization is wonderful, game and sound design are amazing. If you enjoy games like XCOM, this one is definetly for you. Retro graphics, addictive, deep, complex, and true to the WH40K experience. Ultramarines, FOR THE EMPEROR!

Warhammer on X-COM mechanics
Imagine playing a Warhammer game using thr X-COM driver reskinned. That is this game. There is a wonderful campaign that takes hundreds of hours to play. I wish they would give the ssame treatment to the newer games.

Old but awesome 40K Game
You control an entire space marine chapter, and your space marines get to level up! By the end of the game, you must have enough men left to beat the last level. So those deaths really matter...
