Happy they did this
Not even gonna lie, this is one of my favorite VN games. So of course i was buying this. For whats availible it's going in the right direction. They do have a long way to go but it is still in development. I'll review more as things are added, but I'm looking forward to whats to come.

Thankfully 32 GB RAM are enough here.
I was curious how bad it could be. Roughly 5 € spent later and one install later, I have to admit that it is quite terrible. Yes, there is only a sandbox mode, but if this thing foreshadows the things to come, then it can only be ... not good. This is not like in a rpg. It is a walking simulator + visual novel. And do not get me started on the sexual intercourse. There is so much work to be done. The walking and turning is sluggish. The "puzzle" and tasks are silly. 32 GB RAM => for what? So much for memory optimization. I will buy a lot of popcorn, because the next updates could be even more hilarious. Remember: 5€ ... not even close to the amount you have to pay for an AAA rpg game.

Got STEAM version 0.3.4 for free.
Not sure how I ended up with it but I have the game in my STEAM account. I tried playing it with what appears to be the v0.3.4 update installed and despite having a 4.2GHZ 8 channel CPU and 32 GB of DDR1600 ram it played like crap. Studdering, Stalling, Freezing, and choppy dark images. I adjusted all controls and settings from ultimate to normal or high and it still played like no manner of optimization was working. The regular game plays great. I also noticed while searching for any other settings or adjustments that the Play page/panel shows the only avialable play is sandbox. The actual game is not available. I think this may be part of why it turned up in my library for free. And as near as I can tell from reading the store page there is no DEMO of the game out so this seems to be a limited play game release that may unlock? later. IN any case. Until it gets proper optimization and plays smoother I cannot justify paying even $4.99 for it. It is a crying shame it runs this way. The original Renpy games are very fun to play. This one.. Not so much.
