Musical is goddamn amazing

The game has tons of text, that's true. So if you don't like reading - don't buy it. But if you do - then it's really great in terms of scriptwriting and dialogues. It's pretty funny satiric statement and UI seems pretty convenient. And the musical part - man, it was some time since I laughed this hard over something I just had to write this review because of other review that state that this is American propaganda. Lolwhat?) You are playing as a criminal mastermind who's only concern is to rewrite constitution to escape punishment for your shady past. It that is considered propaganda then I guess Star Wars is a propaganda of Galactic Empire and Dune is a Harkonnen propaganda. What a nice guys. Hehe

Nice political game

From my point of view, it is one of the better political games, with a quite excitingly written story. You can draw comparisons to the game Suzerain, in which you run a fictional state, unlike here. What they have in common is the way of governing, namely making decisions in the form of a text selection. The consequences are therefore, in contrast to games where you adjust sliders, rather unpredictable. However, this makes governing more realistic for me. If you want to get involved in the game, you have to be aware that there is a lot of text to read, because only in this form the story and the gameplay is transported. In contrast to Suzerain, sooner or later you are forced to use dishonest methods to either stay in power or achieve the ultimate goal of ratification of Amendment 28, due to the predetermined criminal background of your character. Thus, playing as a consistently "good" president is out of the question, which I find a bit of a shame. However, the fact that you have a criminal background also adds to the tension of the story. You always have to worry about not being exposed. Since I'm not familiar with the American electoral system and the structure of the state organs in detail, I can't say anything about the authenticity portrayed in the game. Nor can I currently say anything about the game's length and replay value, since I've only played the game for a few hours so far.

Good concept but quite buggy

This is a game where you assume the Presidency of the USA. As POTUS, your background is rather obscure in the beginning but there are plenty of hints that you are more of a Francis Underwood (House of Cards) than a Jed Bartlet (West Wing) kind of guy. Each month you are presented with series of challenging decisions and your White House team needs to scramble and do their best to increase your influence. The concept is great and I had real fun navigating the different options, although in most cases the outcome was the same regardless of what I chose and I would have liked to see a bit more variety. The possibility to repeat a month gives you the opportunity to correct the most glaring mistakes, which is a plus and saves you from restarting the game. However, the game is still littered with bugs. I had graphics glitches when I didn't click where I was supposed to and one particular mission involving the death of a character kept popping up repeatedly every month toward the end of the game. I would give it 4 stars overall, but with the current bugs, it's just a 3.

The President

I cannot get past this game very far only played it for a while. But, it sure is a game that is formatted like a book. With so much intense reading your in for a joy. Make sure you word your way to power and keep that power from slipping from your hands. Find intriuging areas like drugs and scandals in this game. Which are a thing secret from society when your the President.

From Demoracy 4

This is the President reminds me of Facebook games during the early 2010s. That's what made me buy it in 2023. As it was just too fun looking to not buy. So i bought it. I hope it lives up to it's expectations as a Simulation.
