Old but good...
It's the beginning, totally different game than W2 and W3, but good story, nice alchemy... It has a good vibe of old school rpg games.

Great game once u get used to mechanics
As a beginner gamer it did take a little getting used to the old style game mechanics... but after setting the game to "click for walk setting" it got a lot easier to play and I immediately really loved the game. I have all three games and really wanted to play this one first and I do not regret pushing through these first impressions because I really enjoy the game now and can't wait for Witcher 2 and 3! I even started reading the books!

Good old game with some fun!
[b]First of all as long lived fan of rpg [/b]and adventure games it was quite interesting experience. The game original release was 2007 , i have played this game only in year 2021. Another reason for playing this game was to analyze first work of the game studio CD Project Red . I install the game on windows 7 64 bit and it did worked, but there were some minor bugs which i did encountered, actually i push myself through the game still it was quite fun experience. Ofcourse with old games you can expect that all would work perfectly, but still i did hope GOG would kind of make sure that such game would be tested quite extreme before releasing on own platfrom. This includes lots of adventure and hack and slash elements, it used engine from first Bioware game dragon age. UI ofcourse is old and kind klunky, but it still playable. As die hard fan of gothic type games i can recommend this game , but to age of this game dont expect to have constant fun, there time just grind and grind and grind. Overall i can only give 3 stars, good average in my opinion.
