Awesomely immersive
I loved everything about this game. The combat was indeed a little clunky to begin with, but as the game goes on one gets used to it.

Hooked
Finally there was a game which was really RPG and which really molded everything about hack and slash, adventure, point and click and First person into one mammoth game. It took a little time to get accustomed to the controls, but once you are immersed, you'll be begging for more and more...

Better than the witcher 2 imo
The main thing that was crazy about this game when it first came out was its atmosphere methinks. The fantasy setting is way darker and more mature than anything else, which is cool. Also, the game does have choices that actually somewhat matter (unlike most rpgs). It's strange that this game was quite under the radar when it was released yet the sequel got all sorts of hype. The game's cool.

Great game. Poor wineskin port for mac
If you have mac don't even try to play with the official port. it's slow and it crash every minutes. If you want you can install with playonmac. You can then change the version of wine with the last and play well. But you will sure get some grafics glitch. For me this is better then the 2, because I prefer the story in the witcher 1 and the old school combact system. The best chapter is the second, I really enjoy the investigation part.

I just love this game. Play it!
Really this is my favorite RPG of all time. I think the graphics look good to this day, the combat was rhythmic and addictive, and the story captivated me. The main character is basically medieval Batman, only without the secret identity, solving crimes, fighting monsters, and bedding all the beautiful ladies. My first playthrough lasted 74 hours. I think it might be time to head back in again.
