Thus begins your adventure within the Realm of Greyhawk. It is an adventure that will lead to the source of a deep and abiding mystery, to the very core of evil itself.
An evil demoness founded a cult dedicated to exploring evil in its most elemental forms. This cult was based in a temple just outside the village of Hommlet in a vile shire known as Nulb. Soon, this cult rose to rule the region with tyranny and grim times of chaos and violence ensued. Hard-fought battles were waged and the war was eventually won by the good armies of nearby lands. The temple was razed, the villains were imprisoned, and order was restored. The temple itself faded into distant memory. Until now...

Fun 3rd Edition DnD romp
This is an often overlooked gem, especially for fans of 3rd Edition DnD. I like how choosing different alignments effects gameplay. Give it a shot!

quite unpolished
Honestly there is the base for a great game here, but it just isn't there yet, everything it does feels half-baked and the huge number of trash mobs and slow beginning in which both your characters and the monsters miss the attacks again and again as you patiently wait for the animations to play ironically makes me wish it was RTwP instead. The late game also suffers from being really buggy and unfinished, even if it has some cool battles. I won't blame this 2003 game for being crash heavy in a modern system, but bugs like skills clearly not working as intended or some summons being so buggy its impossible to dismiss then and they are somehow immortal or even buggy quest progression are things impossible to excuse. Story-wise there is nothing that interesting either, but at least the village and environments are quite nice, would have liked to see then expanding then a bit adding more depth to then(for example you barely interact with the environment itself in this game) and adding more vendors too, there is a lot of money in the game, but very few places to use it. Maybe the fan mods fix some of these problems, but as far as the unmodded game goes I can't say it really impressed me.

Faithful and Slow-playing 3.5 emulator
If I had to describe this game, I would go with "slow but faithful." While a fantastic implementation of the 3.5 ruleset, the game itself plays slowly, with a section, about 4th level (when you reach Nulb and the Temple itself), where the game becomes STUPID hard. You have little direction, and open map... and most of it will kill you. If you can get past that, it's fun, but there's simply too much to overcome for me to keep playing it.
