A Mix between Diablo and Stardew Valley

So I picked this game up off a whim because it said there was loot, and I’m all about the looter shooters.. except The Outriders; which in my opinion has legs to go the distance, but lacks polish. This game reminds me of a much more cartoony Diablo with Stardew Valley RPG aspects. I’ve sunk something like 3 hours into the game already and I’m looking forward to more. The game feels really complete, I haven’t experienced any bugs yet, but I will update the review as I accrue more time. The only thing I would suggest is some balancing. There is also several expansions coming for free in the future which will bring new additions to the story line, new loot, new gear, and bunches more. I highly recommend this game at the current sale price of $12.74, but even at $14.99, you’re still getting a bargain. This game is awesome!

Diablo4 Devs should learn from this game

The Skill System is really really intelligent. Progression is fun, every skill is meaningful and you can make interesting combinations with other skills. Just one Example: I took the Mage, which is equipped with a "beam" from the beginning. But you can not Move while attacking with this Beam. My Idea was: what about buying a skill that makes me move while attacking ? And so i scrolled through the existing skills (10+) just to find that the last one ("ultimate") makes me move at 11.5% of my Movement Speed while attacking. So the developers really took a lot of brain into every skill. The skills are even more interesting than in Diablo2 (and much more combinations are possible). Oh and the story is funny. Great Humour !

An incredible highly polished game so far.

You cannot buy a more fun game than this. If you like character building, leveling up, action, speed and loot collecting this game is for you. This game is so unique, it has lots of surprises that keep you coming back for more. You can level up everything from you, your spells and your weapons. The more you use your weapons the more they level up. Stats everywhere, my sword is already a level 35 which i killed 14,000 victims. One thing i like is that each weapon will tell you what its hit points will be at level 100, so you can decide early on if you want to use something for the long term. To the game developer, you guys rock. I will be looking forward to you finishing the game and well as future titles. I don't write many reviews but i had to let others know this is one game not to pass by, add it to your collection now, you wont regret it. Price at $12.00 is a steal, game plays like its $100.00 plus.

I didn't I needed this game

Take best things from Diablo, Grim Dawn and Hero Siege, mix them well, add more humor, good pixel art and you get Slormancer. You get a lot of ways to progress and customize your hero. Are they all viable? I don't know. Are they fun? Absolutely! This game scratched an itch I didn't know I had. Loot, progression, story that doesn't take it seriously you name it. I don't know how this game will turn out in the end, but right now I'm having a blast playing it.

It's still updated

For one, gog does support the game in terms of selling it but GoG is not responsible for the creation or the fixes and updates to the game, Two the devs have answered in the steam forums that the game is infact updated on both platforms as the exact same time and that "it's quite simple really" Really, it's quite simple to just put those two limbs hanging from our meat sacks and place them on the keyboard and make the little meat fingers move in the motion that creates the question you ask. The computer will then produce results for the question your meat hands asked, showing you that other meat sacks have questioned the same things before in the meatpast. As for the game; Great Game 10/10
