In The Settlers®: Rise of an Empire - Gold Edition, the player creates their own empire of bustling cities in a captivating medieval world. However, threats are always looming so you must be prepared to defend your mighty kingdom.

Powered by RenderWare, everything is visible, highly detailed, and real. Each character has his own life, which can always be observed by the player. The game offers you a deep but always comprehensible economy system with various recourses and goods which are produced and gathered by the different professions. The ultimate goal of the game is to expand your empire to become a legendary King.

Bring out the best in every Settler, build up a prosperous economy, fulfill every need of your citizens, and protect your people from any danger!
  • Create big, bustling medieval cities: Plot your expansion, manage your resources wisely, and provide for your people. Settlers®: Rise of an Empire offers an easy to pick-up gameplay that allows everybody from newbies to strategy experts to enjoy the game.

A great stratagy/management game

This is the only Settler's game that I have played but I have always enjoyed it. The mechnaics are simple enough for me not to be overwhelemed and I do enjoy manageing my empire.

It is a charming title, with beautifull cartoon graphics and easygoing gameplay, until there is a mission with time limits.

Brilliant Patch 1.7 Fixed 70MB Issue

Bloody brillant had the trouble of steam and ubisoft not working not even my physical disc thank you gog you have gained another customer and i hope to buy more soon, for anyone having the 70mb issue this will fix it yes it maybe more expensive slightly but worth it very much thanks again gog will not forget it been wanting to play it for a long time just needed that patch :))

Beware of corupted digital signatures

Originally the game is great and deserves 5 stars, but this version has a CORRUPTED DIGITAL SIGNATURES of the original, main .EXE files. Unacceptable, security bypass. If you start a game using a gog launcher, you will not see this.
