Spectacular on ultrawide monitor

I am officially impressed. Entire game ,including cut scenes, is presented in ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio.The game looks gorgeous with all settings maxed out and ray tracing enabled on a large 34" ultrawide monitor. Follow the creators’ suggestion and play the game with headphones for added immersion. The game sets dark, sinister tone from the get go so be ready for a visual and auditory treats. The story,music,acting,voice overs are all superbly done. Just take in the atmosphere and enjoy the ride.There isn't a whole lot of replayablity once the end credits roll in but make no mistake that the time you spend with the game won't be easily forgettable. This is definitely a game that a fan of horror genre should check it out. The game is demanding, especially if you are planning to play the game with all settins set at maximum but the good news is that this is a low paced game, so you do not need 120FPS to enjoy the game to the fullest. 60FPS is more than enough for a story driven / scripted game like Medium.

Overall good horror but unfinished story

The gameplay overall made me sit on the edge of my seat, walk around carefully (crouching all the way) and watching for flickering lights. So the horror effect was done well. The camera perspective together with the controls was sometimes irritating, but I could work with it. Although I finished the game, unfortunately I was left wondering whether I got all the details (right). I have so many questions, and none of it is about the ending. The story feels fragmented and not linear somehow. Because the story doesn't feel whole for me yet, or I didn't connect to it emotionally, finishing the game felt like meh. Like I could shrug it off and go play another game right after. Which is why I think it deserves four stars at maximum, and not five.

solid AA game, but still a Bloober game

The Medium is probably the most fully realized (original)game by Bloober Team. the art direction is simply out of this world. as a person who loved Beksińki art before knowing how to even read his name properly, I am amazed at how well his paintings and the whole world become a living entity. it's a bit less impressive in the tight interiors, partly because of the sometimes questionable placements of the camera, but overall the love and appreciation for pan Beksińki is felt in every second of this game. the story is very decent, too. it manages a nice balance of predictability and genuine suspense and mystery, very familiar and mundane late-soviet things are nestled well together with some rather screwed up subject matters. if anything, for a foreigner who is interested in Poland, this game feels and plays very polish. being from a neighboring country, I quite liked the painful authenticity of the environment design. the characters are quite interesting, too - probably my favorite out of all BT's games. they are solidly written, amazingly acted and have enough charisma to make drudging through the "gameplay" and at times disastrous level design at very least bearable. because no matter how competent the game, how well-animated, no matter how many expensive talents are involved, and how lofty the developer's ambitions are, this is still very much a Bloober Team's game, a stylish, unevenly paced walking simulator with tons of notes, unskippable chases from unkillable monsters who one-hit you and painful, miserable lack of any meaningful gameplay. yes, the split-screen level design and puzzles are nice - the first couple of times. same as mirror puzzles. same as "dive" puzzles. 95% of the game is just walking, sometimes breaking into a ridiculously slow jog. unfortunately, it's not the "Silent Hill successor" we've been promised. it's Layers of Fear, but in the third person. early 00s puzzle game, but simplistic and boring. just another Bloober Team's game.

How to Play The Medium Game on Windows 7? It works on windows 7 you just need to add the missing dll. search your pc for file xinput1_3.dll (or download it) should be in C:\Windows\System32 copy file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Medium\Medium\Binaries\Win64 rename file to xinput1_4.dll

Great climate and story

This game is for a unforgetable climate and stunning views. It's not about a gameplay and killing monsters would make it worse I'm sure. It's about resolving a big, complicated mistery and please DO NOT JUDGE AFTER 1 or 2 houres of playing as it's so unfair!!! Yes it has a lot of a damn good and scary movie but I think it's a good thing. Highly recommended!
