This is an innovative walkingsimulator with a good Story, sneak and Actionelements.
I now don't understand the "Gaming community", if i compare this Game (Time/Money) or Horizon Zero Dawn (Metacritic, stability, Story), with Cyberpunk 2077:
This Game about 25% less price than Cyberpunk, but played about 16hours instead of 150hours CP.
Horizon Zero Dawn, about the same Metacritic as Cyperpunk 2077, but about 100 crashes within the first 4-5 days, no dialogline selection ever changes the story, same structure of sidequest, ...
compared with 3 crashes, a lot of different ways to solve Quests and Dialogs can change the Story.
So for me it is not clear, why there is such a shitstorm about CP2077 ?
This game is extremely harmful. The story essentially boils down to victim blaming: monsters are born from traumatic experiences of the characters (and it's like trauma porn in there, they tried to clumsily cram in everything you can think of: child abuse, rape, pedophilia, even the holocaust... you name it), these monsters are then traumatize others creating new monsters; essentially stating that trauma begets trauma in a vicious cycle. (Which is BS, trauma CAN be processed!) And then the game comes to the wonderful conclusion that it's just better if these people die. (It even has a 'You can't always save everyone' achievement pop up in the end for good measure.) Well, eff that. If you are a trauma survivor, don't listen to this game. Really, no one should play it. It perpetuates an extremely outdated view on mental health in the worst way possible.
The fact that there are rumors that these developers are behind a remastering/remake of old Silent Hill games is extremely troubling and sad. What The Medium proves is that they have no understanding and no sensibilities to grasp the delicate topics psychological horror usually deals with.
Stay away!
This game is for girls.
I am a boy.
I like to experience a game as a boy. Not as a girl. Because I am not a girl.
I've never played a game with a girl character and I will not be playing this one as well.
I think it is great that there are games for girls. Girls like to play games too and they should be able to experience games as a girl.
Have fun playing ladies!
