It’s showing its age and still suffers from the trademark Bethesda bugs, but The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is a good enough excuse to warrant a return trip or serve as an entry point to this massive game.

Best Version for Mods.
The should-be standard version of Skyrim for modding, given that you can choose which update to install, and it will never update automatically and break your mods. The biggest thing lacking from this release of Skyrim is that it does not come with the Creation Kit. You will have to obtain it yourself.

Work of Art
Too many good things to say here. The beauty and craftsmanship with which they built this open world. The quality of the writing and storylines. The versatile character customization and the replay value that begins. And the sheer vastness of the game. All these things bring me back to it 13 years later.
