restoring faith in humanity
Moments like this make you feel like your faith in humanity has been restored. Be nice if the original version was also added to the collection. Problem with all these remaster/remakes is I don't care for the file sizes and performance demands. I'd rather just run the original, save hard drive space and tax my system less.

Finally Skyrim is Bethesda-Free
As of date you get Skyrim SpecialEdition Version 1.6.659.0.8_(64bit)_(59094) on GOG The 'real' Skyrim Special Edition was Patch 1.5 and earlier, so you get the Skyrim SE patched to Anniversary Edition no matter what - but without the Bethesda Net and Creation Club nonsense. The Anniversary Edition / AE Upgrade is just additional Creation Club content, So you can easily skip on this or at least get it only on a steep discount! Rather support the REAL modding community on Nexus and ModDB instead of Creation Club. Nexus Manager Vortex 1.6.12 and up does support Mods for the GOG-Version, already! For more info on Mods with the GOG-Version, google up "nexusmods.com/news/14753"

I took a GOG release in the knee
It's Skyrim, it's amazing. The entire Elder Scrolls series is amazing, and this is no exception. If you've not played it, you're missing out, and thanks to GOG, you can FINALLY have it DRM-free. I bought the game at launch in 2011, and now I'm no longer bound to Steam. Thank you GOG, and thank you Bethesda.
