Susan Ashworth, known in her neighbourhood as the crazy Cat Lady, is a lonely 40-
year old on the verge of suicide. She has no family, no friends and no hope for a
better future. One day she discovers that five strangers will come along and change everything. But those five, "The Parasites", are also the most ruthless, deranged and cold-blooded bunch of psychopaths the city has ever known. They will stop at nothing to hurt Susan. Unless, she hurts them first...
Susan's few weeks journey doesn't take her across the world and won't turn her into a
hero. She has little faith in others and hardly even cares about herself. She can't fight
and has never fired a gun in her life. But she's hanging onto that thin thread of hope, that in the end, as promised, there's an elusive reward waiting for her. Something worth trying for. Something that'll help her find an unlikely friend. Something that'll give her life a purpose. Susan's journey takes her on a roller-coaster ride between the world of the living and the world of the dead, where the only way to survive is to overcome her biggest weakness: her own self.

...i'm not sure this game really accomplishes what it sets out to achieve. Credit is due for attempting to tackle some "mature" themes, but a lot of it comes off as forced and contrived. The visuals are striking and the soundtrack is well integrated, but I really don't understand how this is anywhere close to "a masterpiece", as some reviewers have suggested. I had high hopes for this title but it turned out to be a clunky experience overall.
"Remi" Michalski crafted one of the best, most compelling, and adult adventures I've ever played. Innovative, mature, and creepy - this is a game anyone interested in new ways to frame a story should play.
It is grand piece of a game! I feels like it can change someone's life and only for better. I played a lot of adventure games but this one gives truly unique gaming experience, which I can only compare to Life is Strange.
The story is well-written, perfectly fits visuals and music. You get sucked into the plot quickly and don't want to go on with your real life before chapter of the game ends. Graphics is generally surreal but it feels very real, like you can hug and comfort main character (due to my personal experiences in life). The Cat Lady is one of those titles that you crave to play for hours, but at the same time, it saddens you that it is going to end at some point.
Rich characterization, compelling music and art, spooky and shocking without ever becoming gross or overwhelming. The puzzles are a bit fiddly and not super challenging. But they are also inventive, intelligently embedded into the story and sometimes even wittily ironic. I don't normally play point and click adventure games or horror games, but this game is so much more than its genre. This game will engross you from the beginning, and leave you thinking about it long after you've finished playing.
If you're not afraid of subjects like depression and/or suicide, just go for it. I was really surprised that a game could deal with these subjects with such honesty and bravery and still be good and entertaining. The end (at least the end that I got) was very touching... almost ended up this one in tears. One of my best games of all time.
