Susan Ashworth, known in her neighbourhood as the crazy Cat Lady, is a lonely 40-
year old on the verge of suicide. She has no family, no friends and no hope for a
better future. One day she discovers that five strangers will come along and change everything. But those five, "The Parasites", are also the most ruthless, deranged and cold-blooded bunch of psychopaths the city has ever known. They will stop at nothing to hurt Susan. Unless, she hurts them first...
Susan's few weeks journey doesn't take her across the world and won't turn her into a
hero. She has little faith in others and hardly even cares about herself. She can't fight
and has never fired a gun in her life. But she's hanging onto that thin thread of hope, that in the end, as promised, there's an elusive reward waiting for her. Something worth trying for. Something that'll help her find an unlikely friend. Something that'll give her life a purpose. Susan's journey takes her on a roller-coaster ride between the world of the living and the world of the dead, where the only way to survive is to overcome her biggest weakness: her own self.

This game is another something you don't want to miss. I can't even believe that this is created by indie developers. Trust me. Once you started this game, you can't stop playing no matter how scary you feel. My favorite one is the woman with the mirror (you know what I mean if you beat this game).
Puzzles are not so difficult I think. It might look difficult at first, but scenery is pretty solid and you won't miss anything important so it won't cause many problems.
Characters are wonderful. There is NO mob characters. Each of them carve memories of themselves to your brain.
It is dark, scary, bloody, and definitely unique.
What are you waiting for? BUY IT!
This game kind of made me uncomfortable. It definitely has it's own style. Can be pretty creepy. I felt fairly attached to the characters by the end and it had a good ending. But this game is certainly not for everyone. 3 stars for it being good (not amazing), but weird'd me out.
The Cat Lady lacks nothing in the way of ambition, and is for the most part a tightly-knit series of scares and poignancy from a gifted writer (when it isn't getting knee-deep in impenetrable symbolism and some half-baked moments) which I'm sure you can get more in-depth info on from other reviewers. However, technical issues prove too much of a detriment to the proceedings, denying it true masterwork status.
Firstly, this should never have been made with AGS, to begin with. This game pushes its capacity to the limit, causing slowdown at almost every turn, causing frustrating delayed interface response time a whole lot. The lowered resolution doesn't allow the beautiful ugly art to be viewed with the clarity it deserves. The graphics themselves aren't beyond criticism, with some truly cheap-looking character animation that puts dents in an otherwise beguiling atmosphere.
There are also some problems with the voice acting (mostly not related to the actual performances... mostly) that was so obviously recorded with sub-standard equipment that you don't even need to pay attention to it to realize it's there. The compression is audible, and sometimes hard pronunciations are distorted.
I know this may seem nitpicky, but just like with film you can't afford a bundle of cracks in the proverbial armour like this. Certainly not when people pay for it. You can't give indie productions a free pass; they're just as obligated to provide a smooth ride as the "professionals."
Intelligent and dark, The Cat Lady is a beautiful horror tale where you can enjoy solid characters, horror elements and a remarkable story. It's like a film, but you can help to create the atmosphere and the main character history in a way that is not usual in mainstream videogames. Do you want an advice? Play it!
