Susan Ashworth, known in her neighbourhood as the crazy Cat Lady, is a lonely 40-
year old on the verge of suicide. She has no family, no friends and no hope for a
better future. One day she discovers that five strangers will come along and change everything. But those five, "The Parasites", are also the most ruthless, deranged and cold-blooded bunch of psychopaths the city has ever known. They will stop at nothing to hurt Susan. Unless, she hurts them first...
Susan's few weeks journey doesn't take her across the world and won't turn her into a
hero. She has little faith in others and hardly even cares about herself. She can't fight
and has never fired a gun in her life. But she's hanging onto that thin thread of hope, that in the end, as promised, there's an elusive reward waiting for her. Something worth trying for. Something that'll help her find an unlikely friend. Something that'll give her life a purpose. Susan's journey takes her on a roller-coaster ride between the world of the living and the world of the dead, where the only way to survive is to overcome her biggest weakness: her own self.

The people reviewing this game claiming it's a "masterpiece" are either literal children or don't speak English as a first language and have serious issues with their vision in general. The art and gameplay are like something from a 2003 flash game on newgrounds (one of the bad ones) and the writing is so bad not even a key could unlock its potential. Did that sound idiotic? It should have, because I lifted it from that shitty game.
If you want something to laugh at or if you want to buy a gift for someone you hate, I guess you could buy this on sale.
It's just so ugly, I can't stand looking at it. Looks like how it feels to be hungover.
Story seems good and gameplay is OK. But it's not anything I'd spend time playing through. It was worth a try though.
The cat lady was a great game.
But I haven't played it since I beat it. I would like to note that it has made frequent attempts to run without my permission or without me opening the program. This is something I think GOG should look into.
I have Comodo and it has brought up warnings about The cat lady trying to make changes while I am watching netflix/surfing the internet.
The game gets a 1 star rating because I have run multiple rescue cds and even did a fresh install on windows to see if I had a virus/rootkit. There are no signs of anything on my computer. So I reinstalled the cat lady and sure enough a few days later I caught it doing the same thing.
