Create an adventuring party in the first volume and play it across all three, creating a heroic story all your own!
The Bard's Tale Trilogy contains remastered versions of all three classic games: The Bard's Tale: Tales of the Unknown, The Bard's Tale II: The Destiny Knight, and The Bard's Tale III: Thief of Fate! Rescue a city trapped by a wizard, reforge the legendary Destiny Wand, and travel across time and space to confront a Mad God! Enjoy a uniform playing experience across all three titles without the need for emulation or compatibility concerns. For the first time, play as male or female across all three games! Also includes other quality of life changes such as automapping for all three games, spell access, and updated equipment/inventory management. Go old school with Legacy Mode, a suite of features which will allow veteran players to experience the games similarly to how they first played them, and will be released free of charge for owners when complete.

Wonder and Simple
If you want a straightforward dungeon experience, without any complications, you can't do better than the original Bards Tale. Very simple, quick to play, Maybe a bit repetative, but that's okay. Hint: When you first start come out of the adventurers guild and turn left - that will take you to the blacksmith shop right away. If you don't, then expect to lose a lot of characters when monsters atack you before you equip the party!

Amazing remaster.
Amazing. When I was around 10 years old I had a Apple II pirated copy of The Bard's Tale. Yes, a copy. No manual, no box. NO idea what the 4 letter acronyms for the spells were. As time passed, I finally got my hands on a real copy of The Bard's Tale for the Apple IIgs, arguably the best version of the game with the Ensoniq sound chip blasting my bard's songs into the early morning. This version captures it all without muddying anything up! Sometimes with some of the quality of life improvements it feels like I am cheating! I do hope they will add the iron man mode along with some achievements to show if you are one of the few to be able to play the Bard's Tale in the old school fashion! I gotta say, in some other area's (Monster encounters) it does feel a little easier than it was on the old Apple II beyond even the quality improvements. This game is really one of the best of it's kind and this remaster does it exemplary justice! Highly recommend even at full price. Especially if it has any nostalgia for you at all, you see this remaster does more than just fullful that nostalgia, it delivers an experience you want to actually play again and finish!

Worth every penny
Loved the original games but this version just can't be beat. It's by far the best and most enjoyable way to play this series. Fantastic quality of life improvements but the game will also let you play the old school way if you choose to.
