Love this game
Love this game. reminds me of my youth when i played games similar with same art style. Wonderful use of a Bard's skills. love the sarcastic responses.

original trilogy still great
The original 3 BT's play well on dosbox and I have yet to experience any kind of technical issue with these games. I've been looking to play the original bards tale games for a long time. At first I was worried that nostalgia would give way to disappointment once I started playing the old games BUT it turns out that bards tale 2 and 3 are still super fun to play (haven't gotten to the first yet). The new bards tale is very different than the original three but it's a pretty fun game too (as long as you're not expecting it be resemble the originals in any way).

It's bad luck to be you...
"Oh, it's bad luck to be you, A Chosen One of many isn't new, When you think you're full of luck In the bullocks you'll get struck, Oh, it's bad luck to be, really bad luck to be, Nobody could disagree, it's a freaking guarantee, It's bad luck to be you ! Diddly doo !" Though the gameplay has its flaws (in the "Baldur's Gate : Dark Alliance" style, for the connoisseurs...), this game is really unique for its ambiance, humour and memorable songs ! Now, I didn't play the "originals" which look kind of outdated to me (though they might be great, I'm not saying...) but the "2004 reboot" is definitely worth the try for all RPG's fans...

Unplayable
Everything is in slow motion. Supposedly, there is a way to play it in windowed mode and this fixes it, but I don't see a way to make this happen.

Arguable the wittiest game of the genre
Class game with graphics that were great for its time. The Combat is simple without being boring. It can be a little grindy but perpetual sarcasm of everyone in the game just doesn't get old.
