Styx: Master of Shadows is an infiltration game with RPG elements taking place in a dark fantasy universe, where you sneak, steal and assassinate your way through as Styx, a Goblin two-centuries of age.
Deep inside the vertiginous and multi-layered forsaken Tower of Akenash, where Humans and Elves protect the World-Tree, source of the Amber – a powerful and magical golden sap – is hidden Styx’ chance to understand his true origin... and to make a fortune at the same time.
Prowl through the huge, miles-high Tower of Akenash, completing various missions (assassination, information recovery, etc.) and avoiding detection. Progress in the shadows, assassinate your targets in close combat, or orchestrate «accidents». RPG mechanics let you unlock new powerful skills, impressive special moves, and an optimized equipment. Amber will grant you spectacular powers such as invisibility, «amber vision», and the ability to clone yourself. Explore the levels to discover every bit of information about your past, and steal prized treasures to acquire equipment upgrades. Embrace the shadows!

Good.. but disappointing at many areas.
It can be fun at Hard dificulty, but at Goblin the perk points of agility make no sense. The gameplay itself its a bit repetitive , the maps/rewards kinda boring or bad design (for me). For example you find relics, but they dont give you some extra stats at least. The story i would say its also kinda mediocre , since you already know from the fist mission what happened. I will finish the game just for the sake of it , but can't say im having a lot of fun. From a stealth point of view its's good. But the lack of funy talent points , story , characters , shop, items, vibe...makes me a bit dissapointed.

A Very Poor Thief Clone
This game could have been nice with a little more thought. It takes some elements from great stealth games, but they are not implemented well enough. The mechanics are not well thought out, clumbsy, and sometimes confusing/unresponsive. There were many parts of the level that I tried several times to avoid being detected, but the open world map is just an illusion. It seems the developers wanted it played in an exact way and I have to go through trial and error to figure that out. That boils down to just a bunch of padding and no real content or story telling in my book. Just play Thief or Splinter Cell for a more complete and intriguing stealth adventure.
