Stories: The Path of Destinies is an action-RPG set in a vibrant fairytale universe filled with floating islands, majestic airships, and colorful magic. Reynardo, ex-pirate and unintentional hero, suddenly becomes the last line of the defense against the mad Emperor and his countless ravens. Can he come up with a plan that won’t blow up in his face, for a change?
In Stories, each choice you make takes Reynardo into a unique narrative. From tongue-in-cheek takes on heroic adventures to dark, Lovecraftian scenes, Stories’ repertoire is as diverse as it is action-packed. But Reynardo’s fateful decisions won’t always come easy: Sometimes retrieving a weapon lost at the beginning of time means sacrificing the life of an old friend. But with so many choices to make, so many potential dire destinies, wouldn't it be great to be able to come back in time, learn from your mistakes and find the one true path?
Unique choice-based narrative in which players explore many different storylines to find the path to victory
Fluid and fast-paced combat blending acrobatic swordplay, grab attacks, special abilities, and more
Charming hand-drawn illustrations and a colorful storybook aesthetic
A deep skill tree where players can unlock powerful new abilities such as the Hookshot or even Time Mastery
An arsenal of magic-infused swords that can be crafted and upgraded
An original soundtrack that changes dynamically with every choice

I spent with this title a few hours and concluded plying of that title because I lack of gamepad that is supported, and control by mouse and keyboard is somehow symptoms of self sadism.
Sadly only XBOX controller nothing else, but if you have "supported" controller and you ignore graphic and focused on story, logic puzzles you can have fun with this title (especially narrator is funny).
This game seems to be an experiment about how much your choices could infuence the outcome of the story. Thus it has 24 proper endungs with additional bad ends, that you have to reach by making choices at the start of each chapter.
Tha batte system is cringeworthy but simple enough. Graphics are good enough for their time.
Overall this game is worth it`s money.
The game itself is great. The narrator is outstanding and the story is well told and dark. Decisions really change the outcome and while the game is rather short, you have to play it multiple times in order to get the different stories.
BUT the game is horribly optimizied! The graphics are alright, but they rarely hit 60 fps. I could play Hellblade in highest settings with 60 fps throughout, or Prey or countless other games, but this struggles to keep a steady framerate! The options for graphics is downright insulting, giving you just four different settings to choose from (very low, low, med and high). At the start the game checks your hardware and sets the graphics accordingly. For my system it suggested low...with an i5 @3.5 GhZ, 8 GB DDR3 Ram, GeForce 1050 Ti with 8 gigs. That should tell you how much optimization went into this title!
At a discount I would say go for it. It´s a good game, but beware that it runs like crap.
One of the most plesant suprises i have encontered. Game is simply speaking beautiful, hack and slash (but fighting system might be a little bit challenging) and focuses strongly on exploration and story telling. Narrative voice, as well as idea of "uncovering" winning path ist the strogest prons to this game. I laughed about jokes mocking other series, or typical hack&slash player behaviour. First pass allows you to complete the game in about an hour, but... and this idea is simply briliant, its not end of a game. You need to uncover oder possibilities, stories, learn from your failtures, to finally win, this one decisive hero path with happy ending. I really enjoyed it, but also regret, it was not taken even further. Plus once all truth is uncovered, game literraly "advices" best option, with is wrong, when it comes to concept. I really think This game might benefit more if it would focus on more "truths", noting down the most significant relations between events like what happends to the stone if XYZ with turned up to be common motive for couple of stories.
Nevertheless this game is totaly worth its price. I enjoyed it a lot, smiled even more, and tommorow, well im curious how other outcomes look like :) Its really attaching player to characters in plot, as well as with beatiful level design and music. I recomend it strongly.
