Lead a party of aspiring heroes through a beautifully hand-drawn world and intense battles using only your wits and a handful of cards. Take on whatever threat comes your way by crafting your own deck choosing from over 100 unique punch-cards!
What awaits you is a luscious treasure chest filled with gold, dragons, vivid worlds, magic, knights in shining armor as well as XP, turn-based battles and all that good RPG stuff! The game’s humorous mix of traditional fantasy and steampunk robots makes for an unforgettable experience with lots of laughs.
I love this game mostly becauseno mouse is required. I can play from the comfort of my bed as my wife sleeps next to me. engaging but not stressful. Perfect way to unwind before bed. Please keep making games like this.
Sound, graphics and gameplay are cute. But the story and the gameplay are very simplistic. The battles are tedious and long winded without really being difficult or exciting. Enemy-Variation is small. The levels are linear and boring. You walk through screen after screen and slash some wood or books that are lying around to collect some gold. That is all.
Overall, yes, it is a cute game. For children this may is a 4-5 stars game as it is very accessible and delivers some own doing in deck building (light).
As an adult I sadly got bored quickly. Even quicker I started to skip the dialogues.
If it is on sale and you feel for something cute and simple for a weekend then this game can be a good choice. Just do not expect too much.
I really enjoyed this game. I played entirely on Legend difficulty and it offered a good challenge without the losses ever feeling cheap. The freedom to build your team/decks as you progress through the game is on a nice curve. Pretty basic options early on but you get some really fun deckbuilding options as the story progresses.
The characters and story are full of charm and I'm sad it's over :(.
Soundtrack is really stellar and I love the SteamWorld series art and this game does not disappoint either.
Highly recommend!
