SteamWorld Build is a unique hybrid that entertains for a time. Its early hours are fun, thanks to how well it uses simplified genre staples to create a more arcade-friendly gameplay loop, a sentiment bolstered by a solid tutorial and intuitive control scheme. Regrettably, SteamWorld Build's campaign overstays its welcome. The lackluster story and rigid final objectives turn what was initially an engaging experience into a tedious grind.

Anti-consumer trash

The EULA states (which can only be viewed AFTER purchase) this game is licensed to you, not sold. If I had seen that clause during the return window (I have an ever growing backlog lol), then I would have refunded it. If I could give fewer stars I would. This is an unacceptable and disgusting business practice that NO-ONE should support. As a fan of the rest of the Steamworld series, this hurts and disappoints me. Do better Thunderful. This spits in the face of the works from this rest of Image & Form

FYI

This game developer takes EU tax money for funding their games. In addition to that they think its also acceptable to take 319.00 SEK (~30EUR) for the game on top of already making everyone in the EU pay for their development. This developer is not playing by market rules. If you're in the EU, feel free to pirate their games as your have already payed for them.
