In the bloody aftermath of an intergalactic war between powerful alien races, a once-thriving network of starships, space stations, and planets are left lifeless and bear the scars of the apocalypse. As Stationmaster, it is up to you to rebuild the abandoned space stations, reunite the survivors, and bring the old Empire back to its former glory.
Populated by diverse alien species, such as the ecologically-minded and laid back Karmarama or the caring and gentle Dahenese Sirens, each space station comes to life with crime, trade, entertainment, racial tensions, and friendships. With these factors in mind, reconstruct and operate your station by managing the diverseand varied resident aliens while you also protect them against threats such as meteor showers, alien vermin infestations, roving bands of space pirates, and outbreaks of particularly virulent plagues. It’s not easy rebuilding civilization from the ruins, but the future is in your hands. Will you rise up to the challenge and build a Startopia that is ideal for everyone?
Nine primary character races, each with a unique look and function. Each inhabitant is an individual character, with unique moods, desires, personal history, and humorous character animations.
Fully functioning alien society, with racial animosity and friendships, crime and punishment, leisure and entertainment, and dynamic functioning economy.
Bio-deck with editable landscape and manageable ecosystem gives you complete control of terra-forming.

It's a very fun game. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's not as good as Dungeon Keeper 1/2 or Theme Hospital but if you like those games, you'll definitely have a blast with this one.
This is a real gem under sci if build management. And this is the first game I have to promote. Graphic is great. Aliens are more than different visuals. The AI and Arona always bug you with witty comments and recommendations. And the micromanagement is really fancy.
If you liked Dungeon Keeper, Theme Hospital or similar management games, you should take this with you.
Fun, challenging, complete and very addictive.
You can spend tons of hours building your Space-Alien-Donut-City seen it grow in diverse ways like producing/trading goods, selling entertainment services or growing your own artificial ecosphere, with a complete control of its clima, terrain etc... while being alert for spys, invasions and other threats.
A must have <3
Rumors of this game filtered to me over the years and finally find it. 1920x1080 it's quite pretty. I look at the date it was made. There are games being made this decade that pale in comparison to Startopia ( I'm talking to you, Godus ). I rarely like RTS but do like management games. I've just touched the surface of this game and am impressed. No idea what's happening, don't care because it's so cool -- it's that kind of game.
I bought this together with Space Colony. I love this kind of manegerial games. But Staropia is definitely much more enjoyable to play for me. You build the industrial buildings to produce, shops for leisure on the 2nd deck and this bio deck on the top deck where you change the temperature and humidity to grow different plants that deliver you different goods. It reminds me of one of my favourite games, Theme Hospital. I got bored of Space Colony after only two days, didn't really like the micromanagement of each of the staffs. But this, I'm still getting my money worth after two weeks.
