S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

I didn't play S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl for very long: For some reason unknown to me, I couldn't start it on the fourth try. Luckily! It is not a good game. The game constantly raises questions. Without the complete solution I already failed after a few minutes of playing. But even with the walkthrough, my interest was quickly reduced to almost 0. I permanently don't know what is important. Should I accept the order? Do I have to work through several accepted orders one after the other? What should I do next? I can understand the problems with the weapons described here by others. You have the feeling that the weapons of the opponents are always much better, you yourself do far too little damage or do not hit and a weapon upgrade brings no significant advantage. In view of the fact that there are some gamers who consider this game to be the best game in this series, I would call the STALKER series a bad joke.

Don't waste your money like I did. This game has a POOR tutorial and is extremely difficult. This is a quick money-grab. I hope I can get a refund, but I'm not optimistic, because I REALLY tried to give this game a chance, and fear I've spent too long playing to qualify. Buy this game if you: 1. Have no self-esteem and enjoy losing and constantly getting killed... 2. Enjoy wandering around aimlessly, trying to figure out what the game is trying to tell you to do. 3. Love hearing a bunch of LOUD, ambient and annoying cross-talk in a foreign language. 4. Get great pleasure from ALWAYS feeling as though you don't have enough inventory. 5. Find fun in shooting at targets that move, dodge and attack much faster than you. 6. Love always having to find food and ALWAYS feeding yourself. 7. Need to find a reason to become clinically depressed. If you meet the above (7) criteria, then by all means; BUY THIS GAME, AND HAVE FUN!!!

Game so far looks great BUT I cant play it anymore.Every now and then a new bug appears.Either I have to edit my fsgame.ltx or game cant find my saved games although they still exist in the folder.It is so frustrating to keep encountering random bugs like this.It is unplayable if I have to go through google search every time I have to launch it and a new problem appears.Also dont even try to download with gog client.Download it normally and then install it.All in all I regret every euro I gave for this crap.Too bad I cant refund it for something else.It is not gog fault of course.It is the game that is so crap technically making it unable to be enjoyable.Do not buy this crap unless you like google searching every launch.

Waste of money but i had to try it. Unfortunately it's tough in every aspect. Game model makes me want to destroy the PC... No clues, no hints, no nothing... Just you and the map full of EVERYTHING that kills you with 1 hit. Maybe 2 if you got lucky

This game is really, really bad. - the map is absolutely horrible, the player has no orientation where he is, where he has to go - the journal is a mess - same as the map - I don't judge a game by the graphics, but this game looks bland, even with everything at max - weapons are a joke and no fun to use - the eninge feels extremely clunky - levels are huge, but no creativity - they just throw anomalies in areas where they don't want you to go. Or a milelong fence, and of course one can't climb over it. - fighting is boring, almost as bad as in ES: Morrowind - My guess is the developers never played any videogame (especially not their own creation) and therefore had absolutely no idea what they were doing (wrong) - and this shows. - I tried to like this game over the years several times, and it never delivered, I don't understand how one could possibly like this game.
