S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

Based on the reviews I expected to like this game. Instead I disliked it: During the game you are attacked by whole packs of dogs that takes up to a machine gun magazine each to kill. Time after time the dogs just shrugs of hits to the head/neck!! Enemies sitting around a camp fire can sometimes be killed without the others reacting to the fact that one after another of their comrades are being shot and killed... Other times you sneak up on enemies and are suddenly killed by an enemy that have shot and killed you at range. Often at a range that you have no chance at killing the enemy at yourself. Some enemies seems to be bulletproof, but you on the other hand can sometimes die after being shot with one single bullet or you suddenly die because of running into an anomaly or to far into a radioactive area!! According to this game, the difference between deadly radiation, and a level of radiation that can be ignored can vary between one side of the road to the other...! The packs of dogs and other enemies spawns to boredom and beyond. And this in combination with an abundance of loot, A LOT of "treasures" to waste your time searching for, very limited carrying capacity, A LOT of backtracking and so on, makes up A LOT of game padding making this game seem much more extensive than it really is!!! On top of everything else: This "open world game" is REALLY limited: Yes, the game is relatively large, but this large world consists of several smaller areas that are limited by barb wire, anomalies, radiation and a lot of other obstacles. So to pass between these areas you HAVE to pass very few choke points between the areas. At least a couple of times I experienced that when passing these choke points I landed in the middle of several enemies, making the transitions between areas a death trap!! Every passing between the different areas resulted in a load screen, and the game also froze repeatedly during playing because of loading when walking/running through each area.

This is simply as show-stopper for me. Made the mistake of buying this game. But even on sale, I am now waiting for a return. I DO NOT PLAY GAMES WITH KB AND MOUSE. If you are the same, do not buy this. I literally played the gamed for 20 seconds and quit because my gamepad was not working. Looked up how to get it working and found this support just simply does not exist. So sad but I'm still refunding for the $5 because I will NEVER play RPG/Character controlled games without gamepad support. Maybe this is a decent game, but it does not matter; 1 star since I can't play games like this with KB/Mouse only..

buggy. I did not play different version, but looking at others experience on youtube it seems different. For them enemies of once conquered camp will not respawn almost immediately. Competed tasks are not marked as such although game in other way confirmed you did it. dysfunctional pda.

10 of 10 ruined saves ... 10 old game ... still doesnt work

For you Guys, who like playing Games with Trainers, please request to Developers to add Trainers for their own Games because internet is full with viruses Trainers. Write your commentary request, review on GoG or Steam or Ubisoft or etc.... you want that. I like playing stalker games but without cheats or trainers i feel game is incomplete. I searched many times for this on internet and i got only viruses. Please share
