i can get through cell stage easy but when i try to load creature stage it only plays the sounds

I've played this game to death when I was a kid and it still holds up today. It's space stage is perhaps the main selling point as it opens up into the ultimate space empire builder. You can negotiate deals between alien civilizations, create trade networks, go to war, make contact with pre-space stage civilizations, and terraform planets. As a Star Trek nerd, this game happens to fulfill the Star Trek fantasy more effectively than most official Star Trek games. And with thousands of player created creatures, missions, and content, there is no end to the amount of fun you will have.

Crashes constantly and has no auto saves

I have always loved this game, and there is nothing wrong with the game itself. The version we are working with does not allow you to open the paint/color options for customizing the creature without crashing. It definitely takes away from some of the most fun parts of the game.

I have played Spore since it first came out. Great game, recently bough it on GoG. ... When you get to Galactic stage/the best stage, you start to feel like a Cosmic superpower. All the 70s and 80s movie trophes are there - abductions, uplifting, corn circles, DNA alteration, Star Wards, the whole deal. The game is a lot about getting to stage 5, alhthough stages 1 and 2 are fun in their own appeal. Stages 3 and 4 seem a bit forced, but those are about 1 hour each in a serious gameplay. Stage 5 is easily 40+ hours of gameplay. ... Strongly recommend.
