fun nostalgia
I remember playing this as a little kid who didnt know what was going on and now ive already made more progress in 2 hours than i did in 3 days as a 10 years old. its a harder older platformer with unforgiving deaths and nearly full level restarts but if you like the art style and the simple yet fun enough story you can find a lot of fun for less than $4 on sale.

amazing little gem
I used to play it on PS2 when it was released, but never got through a certain point (like 3-4 hrs in lol) So i always wanted to play it through and see if its as amazing and captivating as i used to remember...Yes! The game thanks to the HD remaster still looks very nice, i love the style and design, great music, great characters and the overall vibe is fanstastic. If you are into action platformers and ancient egypt...nothing beats this game.... STRONGLY recommended!

Ol' dog hasn't aged well
Sphinx feels like it's from the PS2/Xbox/GCN era, but to a fault I feel. The camera is too restrictive and your characters are floaty. I could see myself loving/getting into this game back in 2003, but now that games like Yooka Laylee and A Hat in Time show-case what 3-D platformers look like with modern control sensibility, Sphinx is pretty uncomfortable to play. I used a Dual Shock 4 for reference, since it's nearly identical to teh PS2's Dual Shock 2.

This game in 4K
I have huge problems in 4K. The subtitles are so tiny. I changed to 2k but its still a pain to read. Hope that will get fixed

Looks fun, but platforming is unreliable
Looks fun, but I could not get past one of the platforming section of what I assume is a tutorial. After dying to the same jump (I've made it once, but then I died on the next one), I was returned to the last checkpoint and lost half an hour of the gameplay.
