Great potential!
Game has everything to be a hit, but it's not there yet. Sometimes the pace seems too slow and I spent a lot of time on the maximum time speed. Especially at night there is nothing to do and scavenging also takes time, while energy resources is running quite quickly low. So yeah - info for beginners - that blue energy crystal is most important to keep you alive. The second resource is the water (I'm not sure why water disappears after being used instead of being cleared to used again, but well, maybe I didn't make it this far...). Generally it's not good to sit in one sector for too long, because the energy is the real death timer. If you notice that you have lower than 10 you should immediately stop what you are doing and go search for more to mine or trade (scavenging it is too slow in such a situation!). In my opinion it's good that the game is not turn based and is in real time - the feeling is similar to RimWorld and I don't see anything wrong with that. If you will have a situation when you will have too high temperature in the ship it means you don't have enough temperature controllers or enough power to feed them. You might want to build additional energy generator to escape such hot solar system and then turn it off if not needed. The game is hard, but the punishment for being lazy comes after a long time. By the way, if you think that the game is hard on your first launch, it's just an illusion. Everything is about keeping the balance and you will quickly learn what to do.
