A visual novel

Whoever suggested that this game was something like Disco Elysium... it is far from that. This is more like a visual novel with some point-and-click mechanic thrown in between. Extremely linear. There are waterfalls of text to read (some of which is just pointless and superfluous filler) and some seemingly inconsequential dialog "choices" and dice rolls. There is virtually no "game" here. Not sure what the point of "playing" through this more than once would be.

A great victorian steampunk setup

It is a decision-based adventure game with a Victorian steampunk setup that uses tarot cards instead of dice. You control 3 people in a row, so over time you can see places from three perspectives. You also control multiple inner voices per character, allowing your character to become different in character.

Simply great

Loved every moment of this game. Great mix of narative crpg and sort of point and click adventure. Looks nice, has good story, plays well on both mouse and kyboard and controller. Lack of voice acting does not bother me at all. Only issue I have is lack of vsync. Screentearing while playing on my old projector is not soemthing I'm used to.

A Good Story, not for Action Oriented!

This game is a complex decision guided book. There is not much action to speak of, but with careful reading and decision-making, one can reach the story's climax in a variety of ways. The complexity comes in the form of character behavioral development. Your choices both develop your character and advance the story. I dare say there may be inumerable possible outcomes during each game chapter. I was disappointed in the use of items because I rarely, if ever, used any of the items I discovered and it's possible they may have changed certain outcomes in a variety of ways. I played this game over a long period of time, coming back to it simply because the story was compelling as were the characters and their behaviors. I will likely not play it again, however. Although it is infinitely re-playable, I don't expect that the story will change all that much. I recommend only for those who enjoy being part of an interesting story, but are not interested in action or combat.

Excellent

This is a great game. The lore, the characters, the dialogue system, the soundtrack and the art is top notch. I'm completely sold on this IP and i would love to return to this world in another game. See you going for another playthrough right now!
