Solasta's storytelling may not be up to much, but its tactical combat and accessible approach to D&D rules make it worth considering for CRPG fans.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister takes the mantle of the “most” Dungeons & Dragons video game out there, if not quite the best. Though the game has a modular adventure setup that strongly suggests there will be more stories, this one falls too flat for its 40- to 50-hour length. However, the combat system is merely a few tweaks short of perfection, so I’d still be interested in sending my heroes on another adventure in the realm of Solasta.

Good dungeons and turn-based combat
Pros: - 5e turn-based combat faithfully implemented, - lots of varied dungeons. Also simulationist gameplay like verticality, light and darkness, destructibles, travel, crafting. If that sounds interesting, then this is the game for you. Cons: - ugly graphics - characters look like melting wax figures, environments are drab and not very detailed. (Spell effects are cool and flashy, though maybe too flashy.) - boring story, no real choices or consequences. (Though there's an interesting conversation system where all characters chime in in the conversations, creating feel of camaraderie in a merry band of adventurers.) It's a niche product. I'm hoping Solasta 2 will improve on the weak sides of this one.

While BG3 might be getting all the love, Solasta provides the best and most accurate 5E tabletop experience.

DND fan treat
Any1 who loves DND and a true rpg experience will love this. Especially the dark dungeon atmosphere since light is such an important part of the game.
