This is a good old classic sniper game. Gameplay is pretty simple but effective and straightforward, no surprises here. This is 8 years old, but it still holds itself graphically. The advantage is that it is not too taxing on your GPU. It is a little repetitive, but you can bypass the random encounters/missions on the map and focus on the main story.
Overall a nice game that is pretty rewarding in the hard level. You have to take into account wind amount, distance, by tuning your scope and prepare your shots in order not to kick the bees' nest!
With a nice discount it's a no-brainer.
You will feel the same when finishing the game the overall rating is pretty fair.
➤It has a great esthetic if you like the STALKER games vibe and look you will feel at home loots of rust swamps and building submerged under water.
➤The sniping is awesome it fells great setting up the range zooming adjust for wind and kill the target with one shot.
➤Open word that is more like a Hub its not to big it has a lot of fast travel points but I ended up driving everywhere because the 3 maps are small.
➤If you are a gun nut there is a great selection of weapons even the shotguns have great range.
➤You feel a bit like James Bond there are two sexy sidekicks but they end up a bit unutilized they mostly advance the story. There is a lot of show don't tell story telling in this game let your fantasy fill in the gaps.
➤ If you are one of those that grew up low budget games like Enemy Front, Terrorist Takedown or Code of Honor you will be way more forgiving and get some fun out of this game, this one is far superior than those named above but still a far cry from Far Cry *Ba Dum Tish*
➤ But why 3.6
➤If you reload a checkpoint ammo doesn't reload you started the mission with 30 and now you have just 8 rounds but all enemy's have respawned
➤Some gadget don't work press B to detonate c4 never worked
➤You need Money to buy stuff but finding items is hard because they often blend in and are to small
➤ It has a day and night cycle but reloading set you always at night it look great at night but sometimes I want to play with sunlight
➤All male civis have female voices
➤ If you are spoiled for choice and have only time to play the best of the best don't bother here are some of my stats 34h 42m all Players average 14h 44m
➤Finishing The Forth Act the ending of the game is a uncommon achievement 18% and the second act 25%
➤ The slomo shot aren't what they used to be and weren't that groundbreaking when the game released if they ever make 4th game it needs to have xray shots
Game was fun up to the point where my save file corrputed itself after a crash. According to multiple posts on others sites from 2017 this was an issue then as well. So they just never fixed it. For being 90% off, and playing for over 24 hours (total), I would have given it 3 stars at minimum. I just refuse to back up my saves manually after every time I play.
Overall this game is so so but for the sale price has been entertaining enough. Overall it's a pretty straightforward entry in it's genre and might scratch that itch for running around putting bullets in peoples heads.
While the overall product is a bit lackluster it suffers from a lot of little annoyances or inconsistencies. things like "loot body" and "swap gun" being the same keybind are just annoying . "all enemies drop their weapons except the super soldiers whose guns mysteriously vanish when you kill them" are just lazy.
The story is pretty run of the mill. the game is also pretty janky. There's points of interest I can't complete since the item I think fell through the floor, and one won't trigger the complete condition. I've fallen through the ground, been stuck in the terrain over a dozen times. had missions skip portions and functions stop working. Enemies despawning or respawning oddly at a distance (not good for a sniping game where you're encouraged to be at a distance). Also I keep mysteriously loosing healing items despite never using them.
that said it's not all bad. I like the drone mechanic for surveying and it's pretty fun sneaking up to a ridge and popping people, grab it on sale and don't expect AAA out of it and you'll get your money's worth.
