My personal fave in the series...
I haven't been able to quite understand all the flak this game has received since it came out. It seems like the general consensus is that this is the worst game in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series (as long as you're not counting Sniper: Art of Victory, which is universally, objectively considered a terrible game), but I've had lots of fun with it and gotten pretty sucked into the game.
It's the only open-world game in the series, and as far as I'm aware, I think the only open-world game CI Games has made, and it definitely has elements that remind one of the typical Ubisoft generic open-world game, including a map with points-of-interest dotted around it... but the thing is, I don't really care much for most of those types of games from Ubisoft, but Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 still draws me in and keeps me engaged despite those similarities. I think it's that this game has just the right size of an "open world" for me and doesn't overwhelm me with an unnecessarily massive map, or way too many marked spots to explore. And the fact that this is a sniper-themed stealth game, which is one of my favorite types of games, makes it more interesting for me.
So if you love the Sniper Elite games and other games in the Ghost Warrior series, and you'd like to see what this type of game is like in a reasonably-sized Ubi-style open world that doesn't overwhelm you as much as Ubi games typically do, I think you'd enjoy this game as much as I do.
