Oldschool Charm Newschool Playability
Charming Game which scratches an oldschool rpg itch I have but most of the old games have awful control schemes or are convoluted. Its great to see a game that successfully translates the old to newer sensibillities without sacrificing its vision.

Good balance in everything
What I liked most is that the rpg systems have depth so you can do interesting things with different character types and at the same time the systems are never overwhelming or obscure. Everything is explained and made clear within the menus. The game length is neither too long or too short an matches the storyline perfectly. The writing is concise, so there is never a massive lore dump or walls of text. Love the artstyle and the sounddesign.

Waited for something like this
I really like the old games, but the mechanics sometimes a bit difficult. In Skald you can really enjoy a challange fit your skills or your needs. The game is very atmospheric and fun, the writing is great.

Very possitive surprise
For such a simple game the atmosphere and story are beyond awesome. Go this game on a sale and it was a steal. For every RPG fan out there this is worth your time and money.
