eternal favourite
To my mind the best balanced Civ-type game ever. It is one of the first things I load on all my new rigs. I bought it here so I could download it to my laptop. Now all we need is Alien Crossfire!

never played this game before
after 2 hours it still looked vague, I expect a faster pace, I I was designing this game, the introducing would have been to view two AI players fighting and via observation of the two AI players you can learn and then challenge them, the bottom line is that is game is a lot of work for little reward, unless your a uni student under the age of 21 with a lot of time to burn

Good Game, bad CPU
Has the same problem as civ2 proper with chewing up all your cpu. If I wanted a game to fry my cpu I'd play CIV5. OSX version is an embedded wine port.
