Alas...

I own the original game disk, but when GoG announced this, I thought "Aha! Finally a chance to pick up Alien Crossfire after all these years!". ...It would seem I was wrong. Legendary game though, but no sale from me.

Finally

GOG just gained +5 awesomescore for adding this masterpiece to the catalogue. The premise is simple, Civilizations in space. The game however is so much deeper than that, several unique factions, fully customizable units, the planet itself fighting against you like you were a virus. The only thing missing is Alien Crossfire which I believe is a very underrated expansionpack.

Best Civ Game ever

This was the fist Civilization-style game I ever played and every iteration of the "real" series has paled in comparison to this fantastic game. The fully realized sci-fi setting, deep unit customization, and actually compelling story make this the best game in the genre, by a long shot. On a side note: Let's the expansion pack, GOG!
