It Works!
I was doubtful but hopeful and bought it the minute I saw it, and am pleased to say that (so far) it runs beautifully in OS 10.8.2; the rovers run a little fast but it feels the same as the old OS 9 days. Have only run it a little while so we'll see if it doesn't crap out when the other civs cities and units show up.

Love it
Mac OS 10.8 - works well. Animations can be a little glitchy at times. INCLUDES ALIEN CROSSFIRE PC - not tried yet

Best game ever.
Literally. This needs Alien Crossfire though -greatly improves the game (thus making it better than the best game ever).
