Shadows: Awakening is a damn good action-RPG. The combat is quick and varied while the characters are interesting. While the story lacks originality, it is still well written and allows the different characters to shine. There are a lot of different elements at play, and they all work together to create a fantastic experience.

Heretic Kingdoms remains a franchise with great potential, so I'm very curious to see where developers are going to go from here. Obviously, there's room to improve the formula, but I'd like to see something new as well.

If you like ARPG's you love Shadows

I totally forgot that I pre-oredered this game back in June 2018. I'm not on GOG very often and stumbled upon this in my Library last week. I'm so happy I did it's been awhile since I've played an ARPG and this one's one of those good ones.

Potentially great ARPG with puzzles

Too bad the controls and movement are so sluggish, that it makes trying to solve puzzles are frustrating and annoying affair. A few times trying puzzles just because the character can't move fast enough or precise enough to push a boulder or move between switches. I jdon't have time to spare for games that waste my previous leisure time like this.
