Wang's stupid wisecracks kept me smiling from start to finish, and the variety of melee and ranged combat and the loot that dropped from it was satisfying enough that I came back with friends for more. It's great fun in solo or in co-op, and its small degree of randomization is enough to keep the action fresh for at least a few runs.

Shadow Warrior 2 is a beautiful, fast-paced shooter with a ton of guns. There's an RPG-like layer of additional skills and extensive weapon customization, a great cast of characters, and nothing to get in the way of pure reckless shooting. And when you're done with the campaign, there's four difficulty levels, New Game+, and co-op play waiting for you.

A great game, but not really drm-free

Please do not misunderstand my 3 star rating. This game is great! There are many things, that make it currently to my absolute favorite: - the very detailed graphic - the varied (because randomly assembled) levels - the powerful weapons - the collector-triggering upgrade system ... BUT: There is one big point which, in my opinion, can only lead to a substantial depreciation: There is _no offline-LAN mode_ included. For the fact that this was announced, I find it an impertinence to remove it just before release apparently again. @GOG: Why does a platform, which claimed for themselves to sell DRM-free products (and that is the main reason I bought it _here_ !! - otherwise I could have given Steam the commission), allow onlineplatform binding (in this case Galaxy!) for playing multiplayer? If I buy a DRM-free product, I'm expecting that I can still play it in 10 years, even if certain online-server-services have been shutdown! This game deserves the full 5 stars, as soon as it is really DRM-free. As soon as single- and multiplayer are independent from those online-servers.

FYI: MORE BORDERLANDS THAN BIOSHOCK

This game is an RPG, not a corridor shooter like the first one (just so everyone knows), but still the same Wang of the first game. The world and art are awesome, game plays like silk, and outside of a few clipping issues with NPC models: no bugs or glitches. R7 265 (x2) + AMD Athlon X4 860k CPU + 16bg RAM: game runs 60fps on High-ish @ 1440p (some slow down here and there due to typical PhysX jack assery all AMD users are used to seeing, but it is limited, and I say "High-ish" because I turn off a lot of post processing like Bloom, DOF, and Motion blur out of preference) ... some people were worried that they would not be able to run it well, but if you could run the first one then you should be able to run this one too. Honest criticisms from a die hard fan of the first Shadow Warrior: No Hoji, and the game suffers for it (there is a replacement, but they kind of suck), plus the overall writing and dialogue is not as good as the first time around and so far there has only been one "Wang-Liner" that made me laugh (the first game had me laughing every god damn time Wang opened his mouth). On top of that the over all game design seems like they couldn't decide if they wanted to make Hard Reset 2 or Shadow Warrior 2, but then SW won out because it was a stronger brand. they fix some stuff that they first game was lacking, broke some stuff that the first game did flawlessly, but it is still an awesome game even though it is not the same type of game as its predecessor. Final verdict from me: some rough edges, but still probably going to end up as one of the best games to come out this year ... I am also a raving fan boy for the first game and called it the best game I had played in a decade, so your own mileage may vary on that.

I'll keep it Short & Sweet

This game was clearly design for the GAMERS and not JUST the Investors. These dveleopers understand that if you want to make money, you must first create a superior product and stand by it. Shadow Warrior 2 is that product. Please buy this game and support, so we may see many more like this. Ubisoft, 2k,EA and all the rest needs to just stop making games and leave it up to the professionals. Shadow Warrior 2 Is my Witcher 3 of 2016. Well Done, thank you for all your hard work. I don't generally fancy First person Games, but i've always loved this series. If you can convert a strictly 3rd person gamer, you know you have a great product on your hands.

Everyone gets Wang!

Now we can all play with our Wangs together! These Polish folks switched it up again on our Savior Lo Wang, and now he must battle a shit ton of loot as well as demons to save our sorry asses! This game runs 80-120fps on ultra w/ i5 2500k,16gb ram,gtx 970,and loading off a regular hdd is quick! Basically this game is a dream come true because it is NOT A PORT!!! TY Flying Wild Hog,not only for the bang up job,but also for the loyalty discount! Two hours in and I already know this will be a game I beat at least 2-3x as it is a pure joy to play and I cannot wait to share it with friends...Seriously didn't think we would be lucky enough to get another shooter as good as Doom this year,this might end up goty material! It feels so smooth to play and the upgrade/skill system is fairly intuitive. Even full price this game is worth it,but do yourself a favor and pick up the others by this Dev! They remember why we love these kind of games in the first place!

Great game, great developers!

What really draw me to buy this game was the developers stance on DRM and piracy. They deserve my respect for that. The game is great. Really funny and fun. Runs smoothly in my old rig (phenom II x6, amd hd6670), specially because it is a PC game and not another console port. The fact it is more rpg than plain old fps really works, it doesnt lose its characteristics and add a lot to the gameplay. the coop aspect is really nice too! PS: Love how the easy mode just tells you to enjoy and have fun and it doesnt resort to player shaming like many other games do. :)
