First, I love interactive novels, especially on a phone, when written well they really can transport you to interesting places. But I've never found them to be captivating on PC. Sacred Fire manages to add some visual interest, a really strong system (I'd love to use that kind of motivation system on a tabletop game), and great writing, you are really getting into the world within minutes. Can't wait for the full game :D
This is truly remarkable storytelling, I built a character that felt a little bit too close to home and some of the choices and things the character can overcome and draw strength from brought me to tears. This is a gem, played it on hard mode, i can't wait for the new chapters!
I should give this game 0 stars for portraying barbarians as the good guys. How dare you???!!!??? ;-P If Roman legions invade you, you should be thankful!
Jokes aside, the game is an interesting concept (more a graphical novel than an RPG, IMO) and well designed, both in terms of graphics and game mechanics, as far as I've seen in the demo. It's not really my cup of tea as a game, but I'd definitely recommend trying the really nice demo to see if it's right for you.
