Rusty Lake Hotel

It's rare for a game to appeal to first timers and veterans, but with the mix of the streamlined interface and the challenging puzzles manages exactly that. Provided you are attracted to brain teasers, you can pick this up and you can do it a few minutes at a time, or in a single sitting depending on what works best for you.

I really liked it, it took me less than 3 hours and in some point the decisions were unpredictable, but all in all I enjoyed it a lot

This game can be seen as a sequel to Cube Escape. The graphic style is the same, the gameplay is the same, the settings is the same, some characters are the same... The main difference is that Rusty Lake Hotel is a cohesive game, while Cube Escape was actually a collection of several mini-games. Apart from that, I can't see any improvement on its predecessor. In fact, I'd say Rusty Lake Hotel is worse. Part of the charm of Cube Escape was its creepy, disturbing atmosphere. Rusty Lake Hotel is just wierd. To get full achievements, you have to perform specific actions at specific moments. No clue about what's you're supposed to do. If you miss the chance, there is no turning back. You have to restart the game from the beginning. This is especially annoying, since the game has otherwise zero re-playability and having to go through the same puzzles again is just boring. Moreover, you can have Cube Escape for free on your mobile, while Rusty Lake Hotel costs you money. I mean, choice's yours...

Rusty Lake is a very creative and consistent team. All their games are evenly good, or evenly bad - if you don't like that sense of humor. One cannot deny however that puzzles are very logical (in their surrealistic sense of logic). Some people might find RL Hotel disgusting and gruesome, so if you're not sure pick the Samsara first. It's free, yet very good and representative for Rusty Lake.

It's a point-and-click adventure game, with (at least) one dead-end, that necessitates restarting restarting the entire game (it doesn't reset a single "stage". The narrative if rudimentary. Need I say more? I suspect there are a lot of over far better titles of the type, somewhere around this website.
