Although true horror or explicit gore is nowhere to be found, Reveil’s gameplay is filled with tension, mystery, and some genuine surprises. Its many puzzles are fairly well integrated into the narrative and rarely too frustrating or illogical. Part walking simulator, part puzzle game, and part mind-bending mystery, Reveil is a genre-bender that packs a lot of story and memorable creepiness into its modest length.

Reveil isn't going to set the world of P.T.-inspired first-person horror games on fire, and issues with its writing and voice acting often drag it down, but with a strong aesthetic, surreal environments, and straightforward yet engaging puzzles and mechanics, it's still a solid experience that fans of the genre will enjoy.

Psychological horror indie gem

Reveil stands out in the psychological horror indie genre, offering some mind-bending twists. The haunting atmosphere and intricate narrative constantly challenge your perception of reality. The good visuals and excellent sound design significantly enhance the unsettling experience. One of the highlights was the puzzles; they were quite enjoyable to solve and added an engaging layer to the gameplay. Technically, the game is well-optimized and performs smoothly 99% of the time, with only a few minor stutters/hitches during traversal. The thrilling and disturbing journey is short but well-crafted. If you like narrative-driven psychological horror games and puzzles, don’t miss this hidden gem.

Rough but very entertaining

A four hour spooky romp that feels very passionate. The voice acting is only at times over bearing yet always good on quality, the puzzles are easy and the level design very well crafted. Very much recommended!

avoid or get it on a heavy discount

beautiful graphics, basd game optimization and annoying puzzles every minute, just puzzles, puzzles, puzzles the puzzles kill the storyline as soobn as you see yet another … PUZZLE !!! garbage
