The Glade of Dreams is up in arms again! This idyllic world, where there is usually little more to do than eat, sleep, play (and enjoy a friendly fray or two among friends), is up to its eyeballs in trouble. It seems Rayman and his heroic gang of hilarious misfits has kicked off a war with just a little snoring! Their nightmarish neighbors from the Land of the Livid Dead don’t seem to share the same taste in music and have come to crash the party! Never ones to shy away from a challenge, Rayman and his friends are more than happy to knock these nasty killjoys back to oblivion, especially since it involves saving nymphs, making mischief, and earning fantastic new powers to make even more mischief. And this won’t be the first time! As it turns out, the fun-loving Creator of the Glade, known as Bubble Dreamer, is a highly sensitive being whose every mood impacts the Glade for good or bad! Rayman has had to beat back the creatures of Bubble Dreamer’s nightmares before, and that’s what he, Globox, and the crafty Teensy casters are going to do again before the fabric of the Glade falls to pieces and their entire world fades like a bad dream.
Rayman Origins brings back many of the classic characters, revived in their original 2D form, as well as a whole new world of characters and environments. Discover the roots of Rayman by collecting pieces of the Glade’s history, and assemble them to reveal the truth behind Rayman’s origins. For whimsical action-packed platformer fun in colorful 2D there is no better place than this magical world, and you can now visit it alone or with up to three firends in co-op mode!
Includes over 60 levels of 2D platforming gameplay designed for all ages and playing styles. Unlock new abilities progressively and return to previous levels to discover new paths and secrets.

The game will stop working on 3 maps if you play on 3440x1400 resolution, forced to restart levels and play on 1920x1080 in order to progress.
This game got me more frustrated than having fun.
That's pretty mush the only real problem this game has, its controls are horrible, I just can't get used to them. It's one of the worst feelings I've had of a game and it completely ruins the entire game. Don't get me wrong though, there is not something technically wrong with them, this is something personal, you may well have a different experience.
I don't even know how to put it into words, I just hate how these controls feel and how the character on the screen moves about, it just feels so utterly wrong.
Playing this game feels unlike any other platform game I can even remember, in a bad way, other games are fun, they control right, Rayman feels like your playing in gravy or something, its horrible, absolutely horrible.
It also has a lot of other bullshit in it like locked content, start screens you can't skip and take too fucking long, and annoying interactive loading screens, even the control of the map (or overworld) screen in the game feels off.
But if you don't mind the controls then you'll probably like this game, it is very beautiful and has nice music. You'll have to see for yourself, just remember that GOG.com has a money back guarantee up to 30 days after purchase.
I don't know why people like this game so much. I plugged in my controller and fair enough it was supported and that is saying something because most games support my controller that easily. After 10 minutes I just had to turn it off. The controls are horrible. Really horrible. Half the time you don't feel in control of your character because you just cant control where jumps will go.
The whole theme of the game is of course a different matter. You can like it or not like it. To me the whole friendly atmosphere with quirky sound effects and sometimes made up language mixed with English was a bit too much. But I would have played it if the controls weren't just so bad.
I am not going to play any more of this game because it feels like the challenge would be to beat it despite of the controls and not with it.
Was excited for a local co-op game, but then I looked into screenshots for it and find it has heavily sexualized "nymphs" wearing next to nothing. How did this get an E 10 rating? I guess it mentions "suggestive themes" but I'd say it's well beyond suggesting... Guess the game isn't for me.
Some games are fun to play, some are not. To completely finish a level in this game I have to play it multiple times, why you ask? Because the game is simply overly complicated. And having to play the same level over and over again just makes it very old very fast (if you fail to many times the game actually insults you and suggests that you stop). If you are that kind of person whom spends all your time playing games and live in your mothers basement than this game might not be to difficult for you, but for people like me, who have a life besides gaming, such as studies, work etc, it's too hard and just not that fun. Had I known exactly how difficult the game is before I bought it, than I wouldn't have.
