Are you feeling adventurous, Hero? The world of Gloriana, with all its wonderful diversity, awaits you. In this pack of five classic Sierra adventure games you will create your character (a warrior, thief, or magic user) and set out on a grand journey for fortune and fame! You will solve quests and puzzles, fight monsters, and save innocents.
In the Quest for Glory pack, which contains all five parts of the classic action RPG games by Sierra, you create your own character, choose his class and abilities and then set out on your grand voyage. Quest for Glory games are universally acclaimed as one of the best adventure games ever developed. After completing a part, you can import your character into the next one, keeping your skills and some special rewards you've hoarded, like magic items.
The story is another of the Quest for Glory series' strong points. It's very solid and immersive, with a light-hearted and humorous narrative that will keep you glued to the screen throughout each of the five installments.
Includes both: VGA and original version of Quest for Glory 1.
Venture across five huge worlds, each based on a different culture and mythology, from Germanic fairy tales, through Arabian and Slavic folklore, right down to Greek mythology.
Three starting character classes to choose from (fighter, magic user, and thief). This decision not only modifies the gameplay but also the story, providing for excellent replayability.
You can transfer your character from one game to the next. The skills and wealth you worked for so hard are not lost!

Yes!
Uncountable prayers and sacrifieces to any deity or demon i could think of are finally answered!
THIS was the game I was searching for a few years back, which lead me to discover GOG!
I'm gonna forget diabloIII and become a hero once again!
So, Like a lot of people I played QFG 1 as a kid. I loved it then and appreciate it now. I have played a bit of the others throughout the years, but this time I really sat down ready to play through them all. I'm on 5 now and, I can't tell you, it has been so much fun.
If the outdated graphics of 2 throw you off there is a free legal download of a QFG 2 remake online. I have spent hours on the first 4 games and I'm sure you'll spend more if you don't use any walkthroughs. These games still hold up today.
If you've never played these games, please, give them a chance. Go in with an open mind, this isn't Skyrim.
I could never figure out why the Quest for Glory (originally Hero's Quest) series was not as popular as the other Sierra "X Quest" games. Maybe it was because the non point-n-click part of the game (all combat) was initially rather glitchy, which made the first iteration of the first game very hard to complete. Whatever the case, I loved the heck out of tehse games because they were just so darned fun, glitches and all. I still remember some lines from the first two installments all these years later. These were adventure/ sword/ spell/ stealth games that didn't take themselves as seriously as the more typical D&D stuff, and laughing through a game goes a long way toward making it memorable.
Caveat: The 5th game in the series was significantly changed from the earlier 4, and not for the better. I tried to play it, but despite lots of references to the earlier games (some of them pretty good), it just never felt as fun for me. (It didn't help that there was a persistent crash-to-desktop about 3/4 of the way through on my old hardware, so I never completed it.) In any case, the first 4 games are well worth the price of admission.
Anyone who hasn't played Quest for Glory is robbing themselves of an excellent gaming experience. I still think games like these are more adventurous and interesting than their modern equivalents, such as the Elder Scrolls series. I wish people nowadays would make more games like this that have a true sense of adventure. My personal favorites are Quest for Glory I and Quest for Glory IV, but I have never played Quest for Glory V as I could never find a copy of it. I think one of the great things about these games is the ability for one to continue using the same character through the whole series. I highly recommend these games to anyone who wants a genuine gaming experience. This is what computer games were originally supposed to be about, and the replay value is astounding. Personally, I've played through each game several times, and won't hesitate to do so again.
I still remember picking up my copy of Quest for Glory 4 - Shadows of Darkness at a local K.B. Toys (anyone else remember them?) like it was yesterday. After rifling through their discounted/discontinued games bin, I happen upon this game like a rare jewel. I could honestly say that this game alone started me down the path of PC gaming, and I have never looked back. Thank you for finally bringing this game back!!
