Are you feeling adventurous, Hero? The world of Gloriana, with all its wonderful diversity, awaits you. In this pack of five classic Sierra adventure games you will create your character (a warrior, thief, or magic user) and set out on a grand journey for fortune and fame! You will solve quests and puzzles, fight monsters, and save innocents.
In the Quest for Glory pack, which contains all five parts of the classic action RPG games by Sierra, you create your own character, choose his class and abilities and then set out on your grand voyage. Quest for Glory games are universally acclaimed as one of the best adventure games ever developed. After completing a part, you can import your character into the next one, keeping your skills and some special rewards you've hoarded, like magic items.
The story is another of the Quest for Glory series' strong points. It's very solid and immersive, with a light-hearted and humorous narrative that will keep you glued to the screen throughout each of the five installments.
Includes both: VGA and original version of Quest for Glory 1.
Venture across five huge worlds, each based on a different culture and mythology, from Germanic fairy tales, through Arabian and Slavic folklore, right down to Greek mythology.
Three starting character classes to choose from (fighter, magic user, and thief). This decision not only modifies the gameplay but also the story, providing for excellent replayability.
You can transfer your character from one game to the next. The skills and wealth you worked for so hard are not lost!

In 1993 I was 5 years old, and my family just got a 486. Quest for Glory 3 became my first video game.
In the 19 years since, I've remembered the series fondly but haven't taken the time to replay it - and doing so reveals a cleverly written, in depth role playing adventure much more focused on skill development and thinking than "moon logic" puzzles, and a very strong story.
I prefer the parser games, but if you're desperate for the only parser exclusive title (2, my favourite in the series) to have a more mouse driven interface, there is a remake out tehre.
I've been playing Sierra adventure games consistently since 1988, and this is definitely my favorite series. I'm very happy to see that it comes with both versions of QFG1, since I still prefer the EGA version. Even more exciting than that, I loaded QFG4 and tested it out--no problem with Error 47 or Error 52. I didn't even have to apply the patches; perhaps the gog.com version comes pre-patched?
Best of the best is from my point of view Quest for glory 2.
The story is quite complex, puzzles are amazing and are leading you to fulfill the dreams of many characters. Help the others allow yourself to grow. The seeds of vertues you drop along the game become trees of love. What a story for Julanar. It was also quite funny the way you can flirt with the women in the game. I m still trying to conclude with the moneychanger. I won t give up. And I won t give up playing these games.
I loved this series actually able to import my charactors from each game moving forward... Quest for Glory typically had 3 to 4 diffrent ways to defeat bosses in all but Qfg 2 which never got upgraded from CGA. I recommend QfG1 VGA, 3, 4, 5 you can skip 2 it's interesting I made a map of the desert since well it's a text based game with some graphics you'll see. All in all a great series, that didn't take it self to seriously. In VGA version you can find the Father from Dinosaurs the TV show going to work...
From the moment you first enter the town of Spielburg (sp?) to the time you finish in the Greek Islands, you're on a rolIicking adventure that has swords, sorcery, and romance!
was introduced to this series many years ago when QfG II had come out and watching the "Intermission" on a friend's computer. I got hooked and played that QfG I and followed it from then on. I have to admit, I kinda gave in to emotion and broke down a little when I found out in QfG II that I had actually done everything right to become a paladin! MMOs have nothing on this wonderful series; pick it up and try it today!
