In “Only Lead Can Stop Them” you take on the role as a soldier during the Spanish Civil war, fighting to defend the republic from being crushed by opposing fascist forces.
Over the span of your adventure, you will explore three epic campaigns with a total of 30 levels packed full of dangers and secrets to be discovered. Explore ancient castles, catacombs, muddy trenches, dense forests and combat zones of a war torn battlefield, whilst earning medals along the way for your heroic deeds!
Blast your way through fast-paced levels using your powerful arsenal of ten weapons, including machine guns, explosives, shotguns, pistols and rifles. Fight with purpose! Free your fellow comrades and unravel the fascists' path of destruction.
Only Lead Can Stop Them” takes stylistic influence from classic 90s shooters , featuring detailed environments and enemies rendered in pixel art as well as an uncompromising, break neck, fast paced style of gameplay.
The game features over a dozen distinct enemy types to fight. Whilst many of your enemies will be equipped with firearms, you will also battle strange supernatural occult forces capable of blasting you to pieces!

Taking down virtual fascists with style
I’ve been following this game on Steam for quite some time now, and the final result - bugs aside - is absolutely worth it! It feels like a mix between Wolfenstein 3D and Doom, but with a soul that’s entirely its own. Calling this a cheap rip-off is like saying Blood is a rip-off of Duke Nukem 3D, or that Dusk is a rip-off of Quake. Technically you might have a point, but in reality it’s silly, hypocritical nonsense. We live in strange, unusual and dark times. It’s deeply ironic to see self-proclaimed neo-Nazis and evident Black Sun obsessing cry-baby fascists claiming they feel oppressed by the DEI-injecting Woke Masses. Just f*ck off already to your own little Nazi inclusive, cozy little enclave of hatred on this planet in your mother's basement to celebrate your far right definition of "free speech". Let’s not forget the millions who perished and/or suffered under the regimes of Hitler, Franco and yes, Stalin. Decades later, it’s immensely satisfying to take down virtual pixel-Nazis, pixel-brownshirts and other pixel-fascists. Pure bliss!

Looks good, the movement needs work
This game has a great aesthetic, looks fun to play. But the movement is atrocious. It's not based off of your momentum, it's based off of what direction you are facing. So it's literally impossible to turn left to shoot back at an enemy and continue strafing right in the direction you are moving, the game forces you to walk whatever direction you are facing and instead of transferring your momentum you turn on a dime and run straight into enemies. If you're getting shot at and want to change direction and strafe you will literally stand in place like you weren't moving at all when you start strafing and die from enemy fire. It's difficult to describe but the movement feels absolutely terrible and I don't understand how a dev that has played actual Build-based shooters from the 80s and 90s wouldn't catch this in development. It's disorienting, it makes me motion sick, and I have none of these problems playing Doom 1+2 or Wolf 3D.

Awefull, avoid at any cost!
The game looks really good as a boomer-shooter, but the gameplay is horrible. The input delay is about 1 second... 1 SECOND!!!! Making you feel nosia after about 5 minutes of "play" if you can call it that. How do you screw up so badly on modern machines and with modern understanding how FPS game should work, especially after the first Quake? There is no justification for this, i'm refunding this piece of crapware (i just can't call it a game, sorry).
