In “Only Lead Can Stop Them” you take on the role as a soldier during the Spanish Civil war, fighting to defend the republic from being crushed by opposing fascist forces.
Over the span of your adventure, you will explore three epic campaigns with a total of 30 levels packed full of dangers and secrets to be discovered. Explore ancient castles, catacombs, muddy trenches, dense forests and combat zones of a war torn battlefield, whilst earning medals along the way for your heroic deeds!
Blast your way through fast-paced levels using your powerful arsenal of ten weapons, including machine guns, explosives, shotguns, pistols and rifles. Fight with purpose! Free your fellow comrades and unravel the fascists' path of destruction.
Only Lead Can Stop Them” takes stylistic influence from classic 90s shooters , featuring detailed environments and enemies rendered in pixel art as well as an uncompromising, break neck, fast paced style of gameplay.
The game features over a dozen distinct enemy types to fight. Whilst many of your enemies will be equipped with firearms, you will also battle strange supernatural occult forces capable of blasting you to pieces!

Wolfenstein in the Spanish Civil War
As a spaniard is cool to see the story of my contry in a videogame, specially the civil war. But the flaws of this game really affects it's gameplay and makes a game that could be awsome, just good. Hope to see a sequel that fixes everything.

A Fun Wolfen-like Fash-Smasher!
As a fan of other 'boomer shooters' like 'Wizordum' and 'Cultic', this pixelated fash-smasher is especially appealing to me! I played the demo, enjoyed the art style, music, and level design, and decided I needed to go ahead and pick it up. Currently playing through now and I am not disappointed! If you like old-school Wolfenstein-like shooters (with options to make the sprites nice and crispy) definitely give this a try!

A labor of love
Great Wolfenstein-like set in the Spanish Civil War. The weapons, posters, and setting in general are highly historically accurate, which shows the level of care the developers put into this project. Music, level design, weapon sounds and animations... everything in this game oozes passion.

A retro styled FPS with missed potential
I went into Only Lead Can Stop Them(OLCST) expecting something between Wolfenstein 3D and Doom. That is mostly what I got. It generally feels like an early 90s FPS with all the odd bugs you used to experience in those older FPS. Such as being unable to shoot diagonally through a double doors if one is opened and the other is closed. OLCST Does have a nice Spanish theme to it which is rare among FPS or any games really. A couple things that sadly make OLCST get old fast are the monster roster all being easily handled by the 2nd weapon you get in the game: The SMG. OLCST also has a shotgun, a bolt action rifle, a machine gun, a rifle grenade, a flame thrower, and dynamite(which is actually a utility as well), While these other weapons are all more powerful than the SMG, ammo is much limited for them. None of the enemies feel particular dangerous and all of them(including the bosses) feel easier than a Revenant from Doom II. This could have maybe been alleviated if the placement was strategic or the enemies were deployed in ambushes where the player is at a disadvantage. The map designs are usually interesting and some maps are actually not linear at all. The main issues are some large areas are depressingly plain with like 2 textures with predictable enemy placement. I played through all 3 episodes on Hard and only died about half a dozen times. I never really felt that much a challenge at any point, Its at about the "Hurt Me Plenty" level of Doom E1. I mostly used the SMG until I ran out of ammo and then defaulted to whatever seemed appropriate. There is a weird vague political undertone, but as a USA person with no real knowledge modern Spanish history it just feels a bit off but that is it. I dont really get DEI or "Woke" vibes from OLCST. Overall, OLCST is fun throwback FPS. The graphics and style have high potential but it's let down by the lack of real challenge and variation. Its a Fun comfort-food like game worth a few bucks, but that's it.

A great 90's Fps
Great game with a lot of Wolfenstein 3D vibes. If you wanna enjoy some old school fps game and you're bored of a tons of Doom and Quake-likes ,this is for you .a man fighting against evil dudes and a type of cult. just like in early days of the genre
