Favourite game back to Dreamcast times. The one that made me understand what I really always waited from the videogames. The one that defined videogames as an art, for me.
Absolute hot garbage. To preface, I wanted to try and finish this game because I wanted to play the only "real" game Quantic Dream ever made, just an innocent curiosity to see how a game studios has evolved over the years with my own two eyes. And thank god they stopped doing that and instead made bad movie games that are at least easy to finish.
The original concept seems cool and original but everything is a lie. After the first hour, all the cool concept and ideas are actual garbage and everything fall apart, this game is a virtual hellscape.
One of the worst game I've ever played in my entire life. Bad story, shitty one dimentional characters, bad artistic direction, the bowie soundtrack is pretty bland outside of the few singing ones. The adventure gameplay is the worst adventure game you'll ever play, the FPS gameplay is the worst FPS you'll ever play, the fighting gameplay is the worth fighting game you'll ever play. Its really really really really bad. And to be fair with the game I've put all the hours needed into the game to get to the final boss, but its hot garbage too, horibly designed. So I just stopped there after 19 hours and watched the final cutscene on Youtube, which was, as you guessed it, also hot garbage.
To conclude, if you already didn't understand, this game is hot garbage, thank you Quantic Dream and David Cage for giving me a taste of hell on earth.
Gamplay sections and controls are both terrible and archaic even for the time it came out. The story starts with an interesting premise that they don't do anything clever with. However the game portrays its self like some sort of masterpiece and comes off as incredible pretentious. It manages to say so little with as many words as possible.
Don't Buy it
Don't Play it
Don't even watch it
This game deserves to be forgotten
