Adventure mode Experience Report
Just a 'quick' report regarding my experience controlling this game and of overcoming initial simulator sickness problems. I'm potentially prepared for more problems when it later comes to the other modes of movement , but for now I've cracked it - how to play, at least for myself, without fear of motion sickness and with a decent sense of control in adventure mode Figured there had to be a way, after all I managed ok back when I originally played the game The trick I found is to keep my hand well away from the mouse. With the exception of when I do want to stop and look around in first person mode (I mapped first person mode to Button 1 for that purpose) But the rest of the time my hand on the mouse meant that my brain was expecting me to adjust the camera view as I moved about the way I would nowadays using mouse look. Since I wasn't able to movement including the sometimes unexpected auto-camera movements were making me dizzy Using just one hand on the keyboard to walk around and remembering the days when a lot of 3D games featured this Res-Evil style movement it quickly became second nature again and I found it much easier to manouver about without bumping into things or missing the right spot to interact with something Been having fun instead causing havoc for the surveillance controllers and my colleagues at the Police station :)
