Smells like abandonware

I had high expectations to this game as the demo looked really interesting, but it all turned to dissapointment. For some reason the devs seem to have decided that they cant be bothered to release updates to other platforms than Steam. And those updates are far between and just small non-essential content additions. That's going to be a problem as the game is quite buggy and has loads of design issues and poor implementations. I very much doubt that it's going to be finished in an acceptable state. The game is sold as being 'highly technical' which it isn't....remotely. Connecting a few power cables to machines does not make anything 'technical'. Actually, I can't think of another survival game that's less technical. Add to that the grind, lagging etc. and it's just not worth it.

Wrong development focus

You should work on fixing bugs and developing stuff like the robot dog, chemistry, automated mining or new buildings and multiplayer, instead you focus on nonsense like a jet engine for the ATV or the motocross.

Exciting take on Mars, in progress

The game is an interesting take on the topic of Mars colonization. It's an FPV/TPV sandbox martian base builder, with a focus on the technical side of things. Although there are simplifications and a bit of magical out-of-thin-air stuff happening, the balance between "mash X button to win" mechanics and orthodox hard sci-fi approach is nicely executed. Balancing certain thing such as resource availability needs more work though. The game engine uses Unity and game design favors players familiar with electrical engineering topics. There is a certain level of grind involved, but that's typical for the sandbox genre. I would welcome some type of difficulty adjustment in the campaign because I couldn't find one at the moment. Graphics look OK, the world looks convincing, although ingame time flows way too fast for my opinion. Being an early access title, the game performs poorly at times, even on better than average gear, hopefully, the devs will take care of that. The procedural generation of terrain problably overwhelms the engine, but it can surely be improved in the furure. All in all, in my opinion as an all things sci-fi fan, it is a very good start for a very interesting Mars themed title. Keep up the good work Devs, and don't screw this one up :)

Great Game, even though its early yet

I was looking for a game to be set in Mars and with base-building / survival / sandbox kind of type. Well, this is it! Created my first character, chose hardest dif, made it to sol 7, died of starvation due to incorrect management. Great game, would die again. Used to play a lot of Ark Survival Evolved, so I am quite an autist and this game satisfies my autism very well. Cannot wait for future updates and especially for Coop to play with my old friend with whom we adventrured through Ark back in the day. At the price its currently sitting, its a steal. Have seen so many games priced higher with way less stuff being ready and basically abandoned. I truly believe this gonna be one of my favorites! Great game so far devs, keep at it (please do not abandon it)! It has so much great potential!!!
