Cut down in its prime
Easily one of the best ARPGs to exist. Unique in its style, smooth and fast gameplay, with Westwood's signature sense of humor. No matter how many new ARPGs keep coming out, this is the one I keep coming back to- time and time again. Rest in peace Westwood Studios

Great game but buyer beware!
It's my favorite game (most likely I can think of a few others that come close Magic Carpet or Total Annihilation Kingdoms). But why am I giving it 1 (1 star for the game)? Simply put, the game won't work on Windows 11 (or 10) without serious effort and work arounds (check Nox subforum for more info). Even then, it's buggy. I contacted GoG, and they won't update the game to Windows 11, so, it's a defective product. Either they should fix it for new OS (almost no one uses 7,8, vista anymore) or they should pull it. It shouldn't be fans to fix the game for newer systems. Windows barely updates to a new OS, so it's not something they have to do frequently, but alas, they will not. I don't really review, but I can't put nothing. It's sad.

Such a good game
This is still such a good game today. I played through the single player as a Wizard for the first time in many years. I forgot how huge the wizard spell book was and how many active abilities there were that aren't limited by any sort of cooldown like modern games. It's hard to believe that there hasn't really been another game like this since, unless I just don't know about it. The PvP back in the day is still probably one of the best experiences I've ever had in online gaming. The 1 on 1 wizard duels reflecting spells back at each other and trying to hit Death Rays. Warrior hammer duels. The insanely satisfying conjurer crossbow. There was so much skill involved in the pvp that it would be a huge hit now. I'm going to sound like Uncle Rico, but if I could just go back...

Interface / controls make this a chore
There's some decent h&s gameplay in here, but personally I was not able ever feel comfortable with the controls, the menus, inventory, and overall UI of this game. I play a lot of older games, and I can tolerate a lot - but there's just a lot of inefficiencies and tedious aspects to this game.
